Adrienne Smiley

As Adrienne Mary Hartley, she was born at Uxbridge, Middlesex in January 1946, daughter of George Hartley (15 April 1905-26 February 1991), a solicitor, and his wife Sylvia Leggett Hexter (23 November 1913-24 August 1992), daughter of Percival Facey Hexter, who married at St David's Church, Exeter on 29 April 1938 and in 1939 were living at 136 Vine Lane, Uxbridge. Adrienne married at Amersham, Buckinghamshire in 1964, Andrew Kennedy Smiley and paints under the name of Adrienne Smiley. Adrienne loves printing, etching and aquatint, which lends itself to line work, of subjects seen or imagined, near to her home or on her travels which are sometimes taken from a photography or a drawing. Adrienne was a member of the Rendham Arts Group and has exhibited from Bramfield, Suffolk at the Halesworth Gallery.
