James Redgrave, was baptised at Lowestoft St Margaret's Church on 17 August 1778, youngest child of John Redgrave (1721-1801) [q.v.] and his wife Mary née Shouldham, who married at Oulton, Suffolk on 19 February 1763. James married Mary, daughter of John Bly [q.v.] and they had issue. A flower painter at the Lowestoft Porcelain Works. On the closure of the Porcelain Works he became a shipwright and in 1851 was living at Infirmary Plain, Church Road, Lowestoft with his son-in-law, James Crow and his family. He was buried at St Margaret's Lowestoft on 24 February 1853.
