Madge Williams

Madge Williams was born at Bristol on 17 February 1903, youngest child of Revd David Charles Williams (9 March 1871-18 December 1945) and his wife Marion Moxey (19 February 1877-1943), youngest daughter of Samuel George Moxey of Cornwallis Crescent, Clifton, who married at St Mark's Church, Easton, Bristol on 16 April 1902. By 1911, Madge also known as Margaret, was an 8-year-old, living at The Rectory, Holton, Halesworth, Suffolk with her parents, 40-year-old David and 34-year-old Marion, with siblings George Roy 6, born at Bristol and newly born Barbara, who was born at Holton. In 1939 they were still living at Holton Rectory when Madge is described as 'an artist'. A member of the Lowestoft Arts Centre. Madge Williams died at Clay Cottage, Wenhaston, Halesworth, Suffolk on 22 July 1986, she was unmarried. Her birth-name was Madge but was later referred to as Margaret.
