TEED, Thomas Henry

1904 - 1985

Thomas Henry Teed was born at North Witchford, Cambridgeshire on 1 November 1904, son of Thomas Henry Teed (1877-7 September 1934), a grocer & draper, and his wife Jennie Ellicock (30 March 1875-1952), fourth daughter of Joseph Ellicock, Thomas and Jennie married at the Baptist Chapel, Bourne, Lincolnshire on 2 January 1899 and in 1906 they came to live at Brandon, Suffolk. In 1921 they were living at 21 London Road, Brandon 42-year-old Thomas, grocer, draper & boot factor, and 45-year-old Jennie with children Doris 21, Florence Madge 19, Elsie Mabel 18, all working in the shop with young Thomas 16 apprenticed to a motor engineer. Young Thomas was a poultry farmer at Brandon, when he married at St Margaret's Church, Kings Lynn, Norfolk on 18 March 1936, Joan Eileen Wright (22 March 1913-1992) but in 1939, Thomas was a garage mechanic for the Post Office, living at Bramfords Park Drive, Bungay, Suffolk with his wife, his widowed mother Jennie was living at 93 London Road, Brandon. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists from 1977 until his death. Thomas Henry Teed died at 38 Highland Drive, Worlingham, Beccles, Suffolk on 6 February 1985.
