VINCENZI, Dorothy Violet
As Dorothy Violet Callander Wyse, she was born at Westhampnett, Chichester, Sussex on 2 July 1917, youngest child of Robert Callander Wyse (8 January 1868-5 February 1940), managing director of The Union Discount Company, and his wife Helen née Swan (14 January 1875-18 November 1959), daughter of Charles Robert Swan of Highgate, who married at St Michael's Church, Highgate, London on 15 June 1899 and in 1939 were living at 8 Greenaway Gardens, Hampstead, London. Dorothy married at Hampstead in 1937, Dr Julius Edward George Vincenzi (26 December 1910-13 July 1996) and came to Suffolk where Julius was a G.P. and in 1939 had his practice at The Street, Southwold, Suffolk, they had four children. Dorothy was a watercolour landscape painter and a member of the Ipswich Art Club 1938-1951 and exhibited from Earl Soham, Suffolk in 1938, two decorative panels 'Midnight' and 'East Wind' and in 1946, two works 'From the Beach, St Jean de Luz' and 'First Pony' which seem to have been her last. Dorothy Violet Callander Vincenzi died at Colchester, Essex on 12 November 1999.
