1911 - 1995

Cecil Duncan Everitt, was born in Gibraltar on 7 May 1911, son of an army man. In 1926 he attended Ipswich School of Art and later took up calligraphy. He married at Ipswich in 1933, Constance Margaret Trivett (1909-1994). Cecil has illustrated a number of books on period costume and was an associate member of the Ipswich Art Club from 1962, when he exhibited from 6 Elmcroft Road, Ipswich, a calligraphy 'Maxim' and exhibited a watercolour 'Calligraphy No. 2' at the centenary Ipswich Art Club in 1974 and by 1980 had become a full member of the Club. He died at 6 Elmcroft Road, Ipswich on 31 January 1995.
