Libby Wells was born into a creative family, with her mother a keen artist, sketching, painting in watercolours and enthusiastically throwing herself into her work and, from a young age, Libby was either painting or drawing. Libby Wells added a tattoo machine to the list of ways she could create fabulous art and is now an internationally known tattoo artists and educator. Alongside her tattoo work, Libby Wells is a proficient traditional oil painter, best known for her elegant and expressive equestrian and canine artwork. Horses are her most predominant subject of choice but from her Ephemeral Studio at All Saints Road, Newmarket, she welcomes commissions for portraits of people and or pets, working either from client-supplied photographs or through on-site photography sessions. from photographs. Her paintings are produced using classical oil painting techniques, with prints available for clients who would like additional copies.
