An oil painting signed 'Jack Pollard, Hoxne' has been offered for auction. Hoxne is a small village in mid Suffolk about five miles east-southeast of Diss in Norfolk. I have found no Jack Pollard 'artists' in the area of Suffolk but there is an Edward Jack Pollard (4 June 1919-1990), who was known as Jack and several John Pollard's of Hoxne and a Jack Pollard an editor of ornithological works.
