WHITE, William Charles

1881 - 1963

William Charles White was born at Hatfield, Hertfordshire on 14 January 1881, eldest son of Alfred White (1845-), a bricklayer, and his wife Susanna née Godwin (1853-) who married at Hatfield in 1879 and in 1901 were living at Providence Court, North Road, Hatfield. William married at Hatfield on 20 November 1915 Mabel Maud May (5 July 1886-1980), daughter of Edwin John May. In 1921 William was a 40-year-old horticultural teacher, living at 26 Hungate, Beccles, Suffolk with his 34-year-old wife Mabel Maud, a schoolteacher who was born at Wood Green, London with their 1-year-old son Wilfred Edward and William's 69-year-old mother Susanna. William Charles White died at 26 Hungate, Beccles on 20 February 1963.
