Oleksandra Shevchenko is an award winning professional fine artist with a Master's degree from Ukraine and since 2013 has been working in Ukraine, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and in the United Kingdom, painting commissioned ‘coffee’ as well as in oil, of portraits of pets and people. Her signature style, using textured paste, sand, acrylic, oil, and gold leaf, creates inventive and expressive works of affordable statement art. In April 2022 Oleksandra Shevchenko had to leave her husband behind in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih and has been living in Acton, near Lavenham in Suffolk which was a new beginning for her as an artist. Soon after she had moved to the UK, she won an art competition in June 2022 with the portrait of the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II using coffee as a medium. To assist her artistic career, the Lavenham sculptress Kate Denton provided her with studio space where she continued to paint and display her art. A member of the Suffolk Art Society and she exhibits with Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at 97 High Street, Lavenham, Suffolk.
