JOHNSON, James

James Scott Johnson studied graphic design and an Art Foundation course at Harlow College and then Fine Art at Norwich School of Art. During his leisure time he carried on painting, sketching, screen printing and attend life drawing classes. In 2018 he left his long-term employment which led to him working seasonally with the Youth Hostels Association (YHA), which allowed him to really learn how to paint and experiment. Since then, he has found a passion for painting being inspired by landscapes, the outdoors, impressionism, and expressionism and has been working in forestry in the Chiltern Hills. His current preferred medium is acrylic paints. He exhibited with Suffolk Open Studios from his studio a Barningham, Suffolk and his work is on display at The Gibberd Garden, Marsh Lane, Harlow, Essex.
