Andy Greenacre grew up in Suffolk only moving away to study art at the University of Central Lancashire, gaining a first-class BA in Fine Art and Master's with distinction in Fine Art Site & Archive Intervention. Andy is a self-taught print maker using traditional methods to create modern imagery and when a teacher, his wife bought him an Essdee kit when he created his first ‘unruly print’ of a Southwold lighthouse. He worked in the 'Unruly Print' headquarter in a studio in his garden in Suffolk. Andy Greenacre worked at Magnum Photos in London 1994-1998, first in the archive as a researcher, before moving on to run the editorial department, representing Magnum photographers in the UK and German markets. A freelance creative, working as a visual artist, photographer, educator and public speaker and since the year 2000 has been a picture editor and researcher and is the Director of Photography at The Telegraph Magazine and Telegraph Luxury.
