NAZE TOWER GALLERY

2004 - ?

The Naze Tower was constructed in 1720 by Trinity House as a navigation mark for ships sailing in and out of the busy port of Harwich. It is an historic 86ft landmark and unique visitor attraction situated on an attractive stretch of coastline at Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex. After extensive restoration including reinstatement of the castellations at the top, The Naze, Old Hall Lane, Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex, doors were opened to the public in 2004 for the first time in its history. Over eight floors it houses an art gallery with three exhibitions a year, a museum on the Tower and Naze, café, and a roof viewing platform with spectacular panoramic views. Throughout the season they show and sell work by established and up coming artists from East Anglia working in a range of media including 2D, 3D and crafts. All the artworks in the gallery are for sale including crafts, unframed and framed artworks. Suffolk artists who have exhibited at The Naze Tower include Wendy Brooke-Smith and Eleonora Knowland.
