NORWICH TECHNICAL INSTUTE
The City Norwich Technical Institute was erected by the Corporation of the City of Norwich as a School of Science and Art and Technical Instruction applicable to trades and manufactures and opened in 1899 aimed at providing useful education and training. Formerly the Norwich School of Design opened in 1845 then in 1994 Norwich School of Art and in 2008 Norwich University College of the Arts. Today it's known as the St George's Building, Norwich and still busy with students on Fine Arts and Textiles courses at the new Norwich University of the Arts.
