LEEMING, Sylvia Marie

1924 - 2015

Sylvia Marie Leeming was born 18 October 1924, daughter of Alfred Norman Leeming (8 August 1887-14 May 1943), a civil service examiner for the Board of Trade, and his wife Anne Elizabeth née Thorpe (26 January 1894-1970), who married at Keighley, Yorkshire in 1922, and in 1939 they were living at Hillview Gardens, Hendon, Middlesex. Sylvia married at Worth Valley, Yorkshire in 1949 artist and teacher Cyril Edward Deakins (5 October 1916-10 January 2002) and they had a son and a daughter and lived at Great Dunmow in Essex. Sylvia was a founder member of the Dunmow Art Group and a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art. Syvia Marie Deakins died at Ipswich on 4 September 2015.
