NOTTINGHAM CASTLE MUSEUM AND ART GALLERY
Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery opened in 1878 and is housed in the magnificent 17th century ducal mansion built on the site of the original medieval castle. It houses a vibrant and vast collection of silver, glass, decorative items, visual arts, paintings, and items relating to local history. Richard Parkes Bonington, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Paul Sandby,and Dame Laura Knight are among the cream of the artists on display in the Long Gallery.
