CADOGAN CONTEMPORARY
Cadogan Contemporary opened the doors to their first gallery in South Kensington, London in 1980 and is an independent contemporary art gallery with spaces in London and Milan. The gallery specialises in both abstract and realistic works from the 20th and 21st centuries. For over forty years their mission has been to represent, support and curate the work of a diverse roster of emerging and established artists. Artists who have been seen there include, Sarah Frances Elizabeth Armstrong-Jones (1 May 1964-), Betty Mona Desmond 'Duffy' Ayers (19 September 1915–10 November 2017), Timothy Gibbs (2 May 1923-17 January 2012), Richard 'Dick' Dale Lee (24 November 1923-21 October 2001), Daphne McClure (6 March 1928-18 October 2023), her daughter Emma McClure (April 1962-) and Anne Rothenstein (26 November 1949-). In 2023, they added a new international perspective to their distinctive exhibitions programme by opening a gallery in Milan. With an artist-focussed approach and strong aesthetic identity, the new space highlights the works of artists that have evolved with us since the gallery's founding, as well as a new generation of emerging artists. Suffolk artists who have exhibited at Cadogan Contemporary include Timothy Easton, Graham Giles, John Lidzey and Sargy Mann.
