June Caroline Elizabeth Mary Burrows was born in Bury St Edmund's on 13 June 1936, daughter of John Marshan Burrows (1915-2000) and his wife Kathleen Irene née Mayhew (1916-17 February 1997), who married at Bury St Edmund's in 1936. As June Burrows of Stanton, Bury St Edmund's was a pupil at West Suffolk Grammar School when she won two bronze stars in the 15-year-old section at the Royal Drawing Society Exhibition held at the Guildhall, London in 1952. June Caroline Elizabeth Mary Burrows died at Newcastle upon Tyne on 3 August 2016 and was buried in St Peter and St Paul Churchyard, Bardwell, Suffolk.
