Sandra Fernando was born and raised in South London. Sandra has a background in Podiatric Medicine where she specialised in Biomechanics and has worked for the National Health Service. A self-taught contemporary abstract landscape artist, in 2003 being drawn by the beauty of the local area, she moved to Nayland in Suffolk. Creating art is a new chapter in her life which is influenced by her Sri Lankan heritage and her love of travelling. Sandra works in acrylics, building each piece organically and intuitively, allowing her to translate her emotions onto canvas, which has been incredibly meditative in the process. Sandra is a member and exhibitor with the Suffolk Art Society.
