POWELL, Jane
Jane Powell was born in Suffolk in 1956. She studied at Canterbury School of Art and Design, obtaining a B.A. (hons) in Fine Art. Jane worked in the design and publishing industry in London for 25 years before relocating to Cornwall to concentrate on her own creative work. She explores natural forms in paint, stitch, and weave with her 'Iconic Botanics' series which feature large-scale 3D embroideries of plants set against painted canvases. She has exhibited at Cornwall Open Studios Cornwall.
