GOOZEE, Elisabeth
Elisabeth A Goozee was born at Romford, Essex and is a Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk based artist who studied at Colchester School of Art and for her B. A. (hons) Fine Art at the Sir John Cass Faculty of Art and London Metropolitan University for an M.A. by Project. Her main interest is in conservation especially relating to wildlife and her master's research focused on how human intervention and exploitation are significant reasons for the impending extinction of many animal species. During her research she used various fine art strategies which are non-explicit which are suitable for all groups of people including children. Her current art practice uses the visual language of drawing, particularly in graphite, to engage the viewer by eliciting empathy whilst aiming to share my passion for the animal world and stimulate awareness that animals can disappear, and extinction does mean it can never be again. A member of Dedham Art Society.
