ARTS SOCIETY STOUR VALLEY
The Arts Society Stour Valley was formed by the amalgamation of two existing local societies in 2022 and are a group of people who are interested in and enjoy the arts in general. Through illustrated talks they aim to broaden and enhance the knowledge of the wide spectrum of design, decorative and visual arts in all their variety, from antiquity to the present day. Their speakers are selected for their knowledge, presentational skills and ability to entertain and the talks are held in Long Melford Village Hall. They run visits to country houses, exhibitions, museums, gardens, and other places of interest and, for those who wish to hear about a subject in greater depth, they have Special Interest Events that allow the speaker more time on their subject. The Arts Society Stour Valley is one of many societies within the Arts Society East Anglia Area.
