FERRIER, Louise
Louise P Jones love affair with glass started in her 20s when, as a design student, she went on a course run by a glass designer at the late renowned Goddard & Gibbs Studio in London but was already on a career path in landscape designs and some twenty-five years later; after being given the opportunity to work alongside a local glass artist, she returned to stained glass. Louise married in 1996 Matthew Ferrier and as Louise Ferrier makes bespoke stained-glass windows to commission and creates original and unique glass gifts. Her work is heavily influenced by light and pattern, taking inspiration from the natural world and she uses both lead & appliqué (mosaic) construction methods, as well as fused glass and she exhibits at St Mary's Church Debenham. Louise also offers a restoration service and teaching workshops and is an associate member of Suffolk Open Studios from Studio Verre, Helmingham Cottage, Framsden Road, Pettaugh near Stowmarket, Suffolk.
