PARTINGTON, Anna

c.1993 - ?

Anna Partington is a photographer and an artist living in Pulham Market, Norfolk. She has always been interested in Art and from an early age was exposed to all the arts as much as possible, as her parents and godparents were highly creative. At the age of thirteen she gained an art scholarship to Framlingham College in Suffolk. In 2010 she studied on a foundation course in art and design at Falmouth College of Art & Design where she gained a Distinction and remained in Cornwall for her degree in Press and Editorial Photography B.A. (hons) from the then Falmouth University. Anna enjoys making pen and ink shapes, patterns, doodles, and mark making. From an early age Anna has struggled with dyslexia and has been working on a project about the connection between dyslexia, learning and doodling. Anna realised that she was gaining something out of doodling and was able to take in so much more information, subconsciously and could see a difference in her memory and recall. Turning some of her doodles into really detailed and stimulating works of art led her to focus on the aesthetic element but still works with fluidity and freeness. She has a separate way of processing information, which has made her extremely creative. Anna enjoys landscape and botanical photography and produces limited edition prints and has decorated the sheep sponsored by Adnams, the Southwold brewers, using the colour palette from one of their products, the Adnams Copper House Gin. Anna has exhibited at The Poly, 24 Church Street, Falmouth; Boxpark, 2-10 Bethnal Green Road, Shoreditch; Calumet Photographic, 175 Wardour Street, London; Artspace Woodbridge, Suffolk and elsewhere
