Amanda Given spent her childhood in England and Northern Ireland. She has lived in Australia from where she retired and in 2014 came to live in Felixstowe, Suffolk where she is a writer. Her first novel, 'Making Old Bones' was published in 2020 and its sequel 'For the Time Being' in 2023. Amanda is also an artist, working in watercolour, ink, gouache or oils and an active Member of the Felixstowe Art Group, with the landscapes, seascapes, and skyscapes of Suffolk among the subjects of Amanda’s paintings she also works on portraits of people and animals. A member of the Ipswich Arts Association.
