BROWN, Anthony John
Anthony John Brown was born on 20 July 1932, only son of Ernest William John Brown (24 Jul 1899-29 December 1970) and his wife Constance J (21 January 1901-) and in 1939 they were living at 720 Ordnance Road, Tidworth, Wiltshire. Anthony married at St Michael and All Angels Church, Melksham, Wiltshire on 21 December 1957 Jennifer F Ashworth (1934-), elder daughter of Frank and Gwyneth Ashworth, and they moved to Ipswich. Brown was an artist, and made several wood carvings during the late 50s and early 60s and he exhibited at the Royal Academy from 2 Dalton Road, Ipswich in 1960. In the mid-late 60s he moved to Salisbury where taught at Salisbury College of Art for several years. Anthony John Brown died at Southampton in 2000.
