WYLIE, Raymond C
Raymond Claude Wylie was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk in 1935, son of Claude Ernest Robert Wylie (26 October 1901-16 March 1940), a fisherman who was killed on active service at sea, and his wife Ruth Evelyn Briggs (29 November 1906-10 June 2000), daughter of Archie Ernest Briggs, who married at Kirkley St Peter & St John, Suffolk on 9 August 1926. After the death of Claude his wife remarried. Raymond married in Northumberland in 1967, Sylvia A Pearson and they came to live at Lowestoft. Raymond exhibited at the Royal Academy from Lowestoft 1958-1964 but about 1980, together with his wife and family moved to St Alban's, Hertfordshire where he was still living in 2022.
