WEEKS, David Gordon

1933 - 2012

David Gordon Weeks was born at West Ham, Essex in 1933, son of Edwin David Weeks (7 October 1894-), a woodworking machinist, and his wife Kathleen née Gill (27 January 1898-1955), who married at West Ham, Essex in 1922 and in 1939 were living at 31 Parr Road, Upton Park, Newham, East Ham. David worked as a designer and architectural illustrator before deciding to become a professional artist and who also painted under the name pf Gordon Weeks. He married at Wandsworth, London in 1967 Brenda G. Wheeler and they lived at Lavenham, Suffolk. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from Lavenham. David Gordon Weeks died on 12 June 2015 his widow still (2023) lives in Lavenham.
