PAWLE, Elizabeth
Elizabeth M. Pawle was for many years an interiors journalist in the publishing industry. After her marriage and a family, she returned to art and exhibited at the Royal Academy from Bredfield, Woodbridge in Suffolk. She found inspiration in the open space, the woods and the expanse of sky that surrounds her home, drawing the animals and the landscape she is familiar with and creatures from other regions also feature regularly in her work. Elizabeth Pawle is now a textile artist and yarn dyer living and working in Saxmundham, Suffolk. She embroiders and weaves wall hangings full of colour and texture, unusual colour combinations and organic shapes but mostly knits and dyes yarn.
