As Margaret Booth she was born at Ipswich on 23 December 1923, daughter of Daniel Booth (23 March 1894-27 January 1982), an officer in H.M. Customs, and his wife Dorothy Winifred née Cubitt (7 January 1899-19 January 1997), who married at Ipswich in 1919 and in 1939 were living at 58 Melbourne Road, Ipswich with their two children, Margaret and her elder brother John Leslie Samuel Booth (27 February 1921-1997). Margaret Booth joined the Wrens during the Second World War and at the age of 19 was recruited to work at Bletchley Park, near Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire in 1942 and started working as a codebreaker at Bletchley Park, in the summer of 1943 and worked at the country house-turned-military HQ until Victory over Japan (VJ) Day in 1945. Margaret Booth married in the Deben district of Suffolk in 1947 Antony Drake Sneezum (21 January 1920-7 December 1994) who, in 1957 when living at 28 Warrington Road, Ipswich, took name the name of Betts. Margaret Betts was an Ipswich artist with detail label 'Margaret Betts, 157 Woodbridge Road, Ipswich'. Margaret was living at this address 2002-2022. Margaret Betts who had lived most of her life in Ipswich died in a Nursing Home in Minehead, Somerset on 26 August 2023, aged 99. She had five children, William Antony, Helen Jane, Clive Patrick, Jonathan Daniel and Alice Nell.
