WARD, Ann
Ann Ward exhibited at the Royal Academy from Yew Trees, Bell Green, Cratfield, Halesworth, Suffolk in 2002 and from Suggate House, 49 Quay Street, Halesworth, Suffolk in 2003 all thread pictures. Created using a of a mixture of fabrics with different textures and weights, there are techniques of dyeing the fabrics and hand stitching as well as machine work. Textile Art is about so much more than sewing it uses embroidery techniques in a contemporary way with fabric, dyes, and threads. They have been exhibited in gallery settings and in many other places not normally associated with art.
