1871 - 1940

As Leila Robson she was born at Durham on 21 October 1871, daughter of John Hall Robson (1846-1886), 'income from shares' and his wife Ann Eliza née Garbutt, who married at Sculcoates, Yorkshire in 1870. In 1881, Leila was a 9 year old living at 8 Spencer Road, Chiswick, London with her parents, 35 year old John and 32 year old Ann, with two siblings, Alice 8 and Henry 6, both born at Durham. By 1886 they had moved to Beccles, Suffolk where her father died and was buried in Beccles Cemetery on 11 December 1886. Painter in oil and a member of Ipswich Fine Art Club 1885-1886 and exhibited from The Hollies, Beccles in 1885 an oil 'French Partridge'. She married at Kensington in 1897, John Wilson Eagle Bott, a marine insurance broker, and in 1901 living at Speldhurst, St Martin's Avenue, Epsom, Surrey and ten years later at Glenisla, Downs Road, Epsom with her 44 year old husband John and their two daughters, with a governess and three indoor servatns, they had all adopted the additional name of Eagle. In 1939 a widow living at Mill House, Holton, Halesworth, Suffolk with her two daughters Leila Beatrice Eagle (3 October 1901-1970), a herb grower, and Margaret Elizabeth Eagle (7 May 1905-1995) and Liela died at Holton in 1942, aged 70.
