Giampiero Romani moved from the Sabina Hills of Italy, near Rome to the United Kingdom in 2016 and now lives with his English partner at Lavenham, Suffolk. Moving to the UK helped him focus on the specific elements that inspire his work. For him, painting is an alchemy, a magic that combines shape, texture, and colour to reflect an emotion, his paintings are sometimes freeform, sometimes smooth. An artist, author, and chef, and when he is not painting, he runs small workshops and is a member of the Colchester Art Society.
