MUSKETT, Hannah
As Hannah L Samuels, she was born in Hammersmith, London in 1953 and married in 1978, Dr. Christopher John Muskett and paints as Hannah Muskett. Hannah completed a Foundation Course at Sir John Cass School of Art and obtained a Certificate in Art from Brighton University and has travelled widely spending some time living in the Far East. Originally a figurative painter, enjoying still life in watercolour, and has developed an interest in abstract and semi-abstract composition. Her digital cameras, together with a computer, have become her sketchbook, giving an image bank from which to work. She principally uses a palette knife, as texture and impasto are critical to the result but still occasionally works in watercolour and has become interested in drawing and works in a highly detailed style on small subjects and portraits. Settled in East Anglia for several years and is a member and exhibitor at Eye Arts Guild from Thorndon near Eye, also exhibiting at St Margaret's, The Church of Art, in Norwich; Urban Art Fair, St Peters Street, Norwich and elsewhere. She also makes items of beaded jewellery working from her home studio at Manor Farm House, Rishangles Road, Thorndon, Eye and accept commissions.
