Thomas William F Coomber was born at Chelmsford, Essex in 1996, son of Gregory Douglas Edwin Coomber (born December 1966) and his wife Ruth née Cairns, who married at Chelmsford in 1993. Tom as he is known, is an autistic artist from Needham Market, Suffolk and has exhibited his work at a virtual international art show. Tom was one of twenty-one participants in the 2022 'Autism After 21 Art Show', hosted by Madison House Autism Foundation, which is a non-profit organisation based in the USA. The show is designed to promote better understanding of autistic adults from across the world through highlighting their artistic abilities. Tom, who works on acrylic landscape paintings of the varied rural, urban, and coastal areas in Suffolk, has also had a painting shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition and is a member of the Ipswich Art Society and of the Suffolk Open Studios from 6 Barking Road, Needham Market, Suffolk.
