HOLTON, Eric
Eric Holton was born at Ilford, Essex in 1935, son of Arthur Holton (25 March 1903/4-1988), a tile & slate merchant, and his wife Neillie née Roberts (15 October 1908/9-1987), who married at West Derby in 1926 and in 1939 were living at 15 Penhurst Road, Redbridge, Ilford. Eric was a foundation scholar at Ipswich School of Art 1951-1953. On his retirement from BT at Martlesham in 1985 he returned to study again at the Ipswich School of Art when he enjoyed the teamwork projects with the younger students. An artist of 9 Broomfield Mews, Martlesham Heath, Ipswich. Eric Holton died at Ipswich on 7 January 2021. His wife Sheila Mary Holton died on 17 July 2015.
