WHITTINGHAM, Kim

Kim L. Whittingham was born in Tonbridge, Kent in February 1959, daughter of John A Whittingham. Kim studied at Sussex University, specialising in graphic design and illustration after which she spent several years working as a commercial artist in advertising then as a book illustrator with a major New York publisher. Since 2003 Kim has worked as a water colour artist and illustrator, now based in Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk she specialises in house and business portraits and commercial commissions. and specialises in house portraits and business portraits also painting images of landmarks in Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Venice and elsewhere. Her skills include creating watercolours, illustrations and collages of landscapes, food, drink, and still-life including commissions for children's books and other publications and over the years has shown her work at many exhibitions. Since 2016, Kim has been working and painting from her studio and shop at Langton Place Gallery, 8 Langton Place, Hatter Street, Bury St Edmund's where most of Kim's more popular images are also available as greetings cards, prints, mugs, tea towels, coasters, posters and tote bags.
