Sasha Marie Smith was born at Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk in October 1992, daughter of Keith R. Smith and his wife Jennifer née Kerton, who married at Bury St Edmund's in 1989. In 2015, Sasha graduated with a B.A. (hons) in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts. She commenced her art career creating charcoal drawings of people but diverted into sculpture and photography but after taking a teaching degree is now drawing animals. A pet and wildlife portrait artist, specialising in using pastels on pastel-mat paper, but has branched out into smaller pieces of artwork using coloured pencils to capture a realistic portrayal of the animal, whether this is a pet commission or an original.
