Beverley Gooding

Beverley Lynn Gooding was born at Ipswich in March 1957. She studied at Ipswich School of Art on a one-year foundation fine art and three-year graphic design and illustration followed by Cambridge School of Art for her first-class honour's degree in Illustration. A children's illustrator with wide publishing experience and now an author-illustrator. She has worked in book illustration for ​Methuen Children's Books; Kirchoff and Worlberg NY; Orchard Children's Books; Parragon Children's Books and Merlin Press and was short-listed for the Frances Williams Award at the V. & A. for 'Moles Christmas'. Her theatre work as a set and prop designer includes for Polka Children's Theatre, London and Framlingham College, Suffolk. She has exhibited at Ellingham Mill, Norfolk; Primrose Gallery, London with solo shows at Polka Children's Theatre, London. A diploma Member of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers and a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. A former member of Suffolk Open Studios from Ipswich.
