WODEHOUSE, Fanny Isabella

1839 - 1923

As Fanny Isabella Bridgman Sawbridge, she was baptised at Thelnetham, Suffolk on 11 August 1839, eldest daughter of Revd Edward Henry Sawbridge (1814-10 June 1874), rector of Thelnetham, and his wife Fanny Isabella Bridgman (16 July 1812-9 July 1898), eldest daughter of Edward Bridgman of Coney Weston Hall, Suffolk, who married at Coney Weston on 29 May 1838. Her father inherited the East Haddon Hall estate in Northamptonshire in 1872. Fanny married at Thelnetham on 7 April 1858, Revd Constantine Griffith Wodehouse (31 March 1827-7 March 1911). Fanny seems to have been an amateur artist in watercolours with several of her works being sold at auction. Fanny Isabella Bridgman Wodehouse died at The Yews, Filkins, Oxfordshire on 11 June 1923, she had no issue.
