THURMAN, Jax
Jacqueline Joan 'Jax' Thurman has a Master of Arts degree and is a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music and was formerly a teacher. Since the turn of the century Jax has been painting professional but between 2005 and 2014 spent most of ten years abroad when she exhibited at the Nicole Villeneuvre Gallery in Chicago, The Collectors Gallery in Carmel also having a one woman show at the National Fruit Show, Kent. After Jax returned to her home in Framlingham, Suffolk she has exhibited locally at the Stoke by Nayland Hotel; The Golf and Spa and at The Oaksmere, Eye. During 2018-2019 she studied the techniques of the old masters at the Norfolk School of Painting with the inspirational Martin Kinnear (born 1969). Her work is held internationally from China, Australia to Italy and South Africa and her landscape commissions form part of the George Blair Collection (San Francisco), Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch in Carmel. Jax Thurman is a member of Suffolk Open Studios from 34 Fairfield Road, Framlingham, Suffolk.
