BLAKE, Monty

1943 - 2004

Montague John Blake was born at Beaumont Dell Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk on 9 March 1943, son of Arthur Stanley Blake (6 February 1908-8 August 1961). a motor engineer, and his wife Mildred Ethel Holmes (13 October 1912-2003), who married at Lowestoft in 1938. Montague married at Lothingland, Suffolk in 1963, Anne Elizabeth Meen (1943-28 December 2010). As Monty Blake was of 29 Orford Drive, Oulton Broad, Suffolk when he painted 'Peaceful Retreat, Beccles'. Montague John Blake died in 2004.
