ADCOCK, Alison

1968 - ?

Alison Caroline Adcock has been painting for several years during which time her work has become more abstract, although influences from the landscape does sometimes creep in. She is fascinated by colour relationships and latterly has been painting entirely from the imagination, producing mindscapes as opposed to landscapes. Alison works in layers and experiences a push and pull dynamic with the painting until eventually the painting takes on a life of its own. Alison paints primarily in acrylic, mostly because she is able quickly apply multiple layers. She lives on the east coast of England with her husband Graham and is a member of the Colchester Arts Society, the Inspired by Becker Art Society and Suffolk Open Studios from 25 Bath Road, Felixstowe.
