Stephen J. Worrall has been living in Suffolk since the 1980s. Working with nature he realised that our past actions are catching up with us and unless we radically change our environmental values, we face an uncertain hold on the planet. Stephen works quickly and freely, finding abstract expression more liberating than careful representational studies. The medium of acrylic encourages this freedom of expression. Applied mostly with a palate knife, the colours go directly on the canvas and work into each other producing texture as well as vibrant colour relationships and his sculpture adapts to suit the environment and his response to it. He married at Exeter, Devon in 1997, Veronica M. Hemmings and worked from Sudbourne, near Woodbridge, Suffolk.
