Matthew Philip Bellay was born at Needham Market, Suffolk in 1982, second of the two children of Patrick Bellay and his wife Ann Winifred née Phillips, who married at Hackney, London in 1978. His art is inspired by Alberto Giacometti (10 October 1901-11 January 1966), Anthony Green (30 September 1939-14 February 2023) and Sean Gallagher (born 1973). Matt is now a London based full-time Strategic Marketer and a part-time artist.
