Carri Anne James was born at Ipswich in December 1979, a town where she has spent her life. Carri was a hobby artist, spending the first 18 years of her working life in Health and Social Care, which, owing to becoming permanently disabled in 2018, was forced to give up this career. Carrie then turned to her hobby of art as a therapy and in confidence building. Now, as an artist, she works in a range of mediums, however acrylic on canvas is her personal favourite using colour, texture, and form to create visually stimulating pieces using different methods of application. She exhibits at the Ipswich Belstead Village Monthly Market, donating a percentage of what she sells to the charity Papyrus - Prevention of Young Suicide.
