ARTS SOCIETY OF EAST SUFFOLK
Founded in 1979 as the East Suffolk Decorative and Fine Arts Society and for over three decades has continued to provide stimulating programme of activities for their members. In 2017 it became The Arts Society East Suffolk which is a registered Charity that promotes the aims of The Arts Society through many activities and supports local organisations and initiatives. The annual programme consists of ten lectures, held on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 10.50-noon at The Cinema, 51 High Street Aldeburgh Suffolk, they also hold a Day of Special Interest and several one-day visits. Longer Tours are arranged each year; typically, one in the UK and one abroad. There is a well-established and committed support for Young Arts activities. It currently [2021] has approximately 250 members and new members are very welcome.
