PRINCE, Mark

1931 - 2014

Mark Compton Prince, was born at Woolwich, London on 10 May 1931, son of Louis Stanley Maurice Prince [q.v.] and his wife Jessie Heyworth née Counsell (16 August 1895-2 April 1971). At the Sudbury Arts and Crafts Exhibition held at the Town Hall, Sudbury in 1946, the art section was judged by J. P. Earee [q.v.], when 15 year old Mark Prince was awarded a special prize for his painting 'Middleton' and a prize for his pencil drawing of 'Maplestead Church'. In 1939 he was 'at school' living at The Cottage, Middleton, Suffolk with his mother Jessie, his brother and his grandfather George Counsell. He died on 14 May 2014.
