MATHERS, David
David Stephen Mathers was born on 21 August 1913. In 1939, an unmarried artist, living at Castle Hill, High Street, Maryport, Cumberland. Art master at Culford Hall School, near Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk when he exhibited at the Bury St Edmund's Art Society at the Town Hall in 1948 and in 1954 when held at the Bury St Edmund's School of Art Buildings, a watercolour 'Culford Park in Autumn' and he also exhibited at the Royal Academy. He also painted the scenery at Culford Hall School for the school plays. David Stephen Mathers died at 109 Northgate Street, Bury St Edmund's on 16 November 1979.
