DIMOCK, Elizabeth

1888 - 1987

As Ada Elizabeth Fyson, she was born at Newmarket, Suffolk on 17 December 1888, daughter of Charles John Richard Fyson (7 February 1853-1943), an engineer, and his wife Ada Amelia Fyson (1861-10 January 1939), second daughter of the late Robert Fyson of Soham, Cambridgeshire, who married at the Congregational Church, Barnsbury, London on 28 October 1885. Elizabeth married at the Holy Trinity Church, Cambridge on 22 April 1927, Alfred James Dimock (1 January 1870-4 February 1954) and their daughter was Josephine Dimock. In 1939 she was living at Eastgate House, Bury St Edmund's and as Elizabeth Dimock, together with her daughter Josephine, exhibited at the Bury St Edmund's Art Society at the Old Town Hall in 1948, an ink & wash drawing 'Chinstrap Bury' and in 1954 when held at the Bury St Edmund's School of Art building 'Cathedral Interior'. A Member of the Hanging Committee of the Bury St Edmund's Art Society. Ada Elizabeth Dimock died at The Cenacle, Cambridge on 29 May 1987.
