DIMOCK, Elizabeth

1888 - 1987

As Ada Elizabeth Fyson, she was born on 17 December 1888, daughter of Charles John Richard Fyson (1852-1943), an engineer, and his wife Ada Amelia née Fyson (1861-1939), who married at Islington, London in 1885. Elizabeth married at Holy Trinity, Cambridge on 22 April 1927, Alfred James Dimock (1 January 1970-4 February 1954) and their daughter was Josephine Dimock [q.v.]. In 1939 she was living at Eastgate House, Bury St Edmund's and as Elizabeth Dimock, together with her daughter Josephine Dimock [q.v.], exhibited at the Bury St Edmund's Art Society [q.v.] at the Old Town Hall in 1948, an ink & wash drawing 'Chinstrap Bury' and in 1954 when held at the Bury School of Art building 'Cathedral Interior'. A Member of the Hanging Committee of the Bury Art Society, she died at The Cenacle, Cambridge on 29 May 1987.
